              WHAT I MEAN HERE IS - LOVE WHAT YOU DO, AND DO WHAT YOU LOVE. DO NOT DO THINGS YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO. MOREOVER, DO NOT BE AFTER MONEY SO MUCH THAT YOUR LIFE BECOMES MONOTONOUS, DRIES OUR COMPLETELY, AND YOU DO THINGS WITHOUT ANY PASSION.

              ONECE YOU PASSIONATELY DO WORK THAT YOU ENJOY, YOU WILL NOT ONLY PRODUCE BETTER RESULTS BUT YOU WILL BE ENJOYING IT AS WELL. IT IS ALMOST LIKE BEING PAID FOR ENTERTAINING YOURSELF ! I KNOW IT IS DIFFICULT FOR MANY OF US TO ACCEPT OR BELIEVE IN THIS - YOU MAY EVEN SAY THAT THIS IS MEANT ONLY FOR THOSE FORTUNATE FEW WHO LOVE WHAT THEY DO AND ARE PAID DO IT.

              LET US BREAK THIS MYTH RIGHT NOW- GOD HAS CREATED ALL OF US AND IMPLANTED A SEED OF PURPOSE IN EACH ONE OF US. HE HAS FURTHER LEFT IT OPEN FOR US TO DISCOVER OUR PURPOSE THROUGH SELF - EXPLORATION. WE BECOME WHAT WE ARE MEANT TO BE BY GOING THROUGH OUR KARMIC CYCLE STEP BY STEP. IT IS SIMILAR TO HUMAN BIRTH - THE NEW ARRIVAL HAS TO GO THROUGH A LONG PROCESS OF NINE MONTHS OF BE BORN AND BECOME READY TO FACE THE ENVIRONMENT OF AN ALIEN WORLD.





          ONCE YOU UNDERSTAND THIS, YOU WILL GET A DEEP SENSE OF INNER CALMNESS, AND YOU WILL BECOME MORE FOCUSED IN DOING YOUR WORK, CUTTING DOWN ALL THE NOISE THAT KEEP CLUTTERING YOUR MIND ALL THE TIME.

          MOST OF US KNOW MONEY IS A BY - PRODUCT BUT STILL END UP TREATING OUSELVES LIKE MACHINES AND ASSUME THAT WE ARE PAID FOR THE WORK WE DO - LET US CHANGE THIS BELIEF AND LOOK AT IT AS A REWARD FOR OUR ABILITY TO SERVE.

           JUST KEEP SERVING AS MUCH YOU CAN - YOU WILL NOT ONLY FEEL SATISFIED BUT YOU WILL EARN MUCH YOU CAN - YOU WILL WHICH CAN BE UTILISED BUT YOU WILL EARN MORE MONEY, WHICH CAN BE UTILISED TO MEET YOUR PERSONAL NEEDS AND SERVE OTHERS AROUND YOU. THE MORE YOU SERVE, MORE MONEY WILL START ROLLING IN, WHICH WILL GIVE YOU DEEP SATISFACTION AND A SENSE OF FULLFILMENT.

            MOST OF US HAVE A WEIRD FEELING ABOUT OUR WORKS. WELL, IF YOU ARE NOT LIKE ME, THAT IS GREAT - BUT, FOR ME, IT WAS NOT A PLEASURE STORY, AND I WAS OUT OF SYNC FOR MANY YEARS.

          I WANTED TO START WORKING AS SOON AS LONGER TO EARN - A STUDIES BECAUSE I COULD NOT WAIT ANY LONGER TO EARN - A SELF - IMPOSED PRESSURE. I REMEMBER MY INITIAL PERIOD OF WORKING. I WAS SO DEEPLY INVOLVED IN MY WORK TO LEARN NEW THINGS, TO UNDERSTAND PEOPLE AND PROCESSESS, TO PLEASE EVERYBODY AROUND, AND SO FORTH.

          WITHOUT REALISING IT, I BECAME GOOD AT WHAT I WAS DOING AND WAS GENERALLY LIKED BY EVERYBODY - AND WHY NOT?

          I WAS  THERETO PLEASE EVERYBODY. A YOUNG, BUDDING ENGINEER WITH A LOT OF ENTHUSIASM CAN SPEND OF A FEW YEARS LIKE THAT WITHOUT ANY HURDLES AS IF THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN LIFE OTHER THAN WORK. SLOWLY, THAT BECAME A HABIT AND MY WAY OF LIFE - FAMILY, PERSONAL TIME, SOCIAL OBLIGATIONS, FRIENDS, ETC. WERE JUST NOT THERE ON MY WORK, I MANAGED TO HAVE TIME TO FIND MY LIFE PARTNER, GET MARRIED, AND GO ON A HONEY MOON. IN FACT, IT WAS ALL INCIDENTAL BECAUSE IF THOUGHT THAT I HAD TO DO THOSE THINGS.

         AFTER SPENDING THE EARLY YEARS OF MY LIFE LIKE THAT - MAYBE AT LEAST TEN YEARS - I FELT IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO MOVE ON AND TAKE MORE RESPONSIBILITY AT WORK. SO, I JOINED A MULTINATIONAL ORGANISATION, GREW IN NO TIME FROM PRODUCT MANAGER TO GENERAL MANAGER. WHY NOT? I DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO TAKE CARE OF EXCEPT FOR WORK!







          ANYWAY, LIFE WENT ON LIKE THAT UNTIL I TURNED FORTY. IN BETWEEN, I HAD ALSO PICKED UP THE NETWORKING BUSINESS TO BUILD ON DURING MY FREE TIME ! I WAS EXHAUSED - PRACTICALLY ENGAGED 24/7 I MUST HAVE SLEPT FOR LESS THAN FOUR HOURS MANY NIGHTS. I CONTINUED WORKING LIKE A MACHINE, FROM AIRPORT TO AIRPORT AND THROUGH NEVER - ENDING INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL BUSINESS MEETINGS.

         I FREED MYSELF OF THAT HECTIC LIFE AND TOOK UP ASSIGNMENTS THAT GAVE ME MORE PEACE OF MIND. I COULD FINALLY DO ONLY THOSE THINGS THAT WERE REQUIRED RATHER THAN PLEASING PEOPLE AND REMAINING BUSY 24/7.

       AS I AM WRITING THIS BOOK, I HAVE PICKED UP AN ASSIGNMENT WITH A MID-SIZED MULTINATIONAL ORGANISATION TO BUILD AND INDIAN OPERATION WITH A SMALLER TEAM. I AM ENJOYING MY WORK AND AM FEELING COMPLETELY SECURE ABOUT MYSELF. I DO WHAT NEED TO BE DONE AND AM NOT BEING CARRIED AWAY BY ANY ILLUSION. YOU MAY NOT BE IN THE SAME STATE AS I WAS - MAYBE YOU ARE MORE COMPOSED AND ARE ALREADY ENJOYING YOUR WORK, IF SO, YOU NEED NOT CHANGE THAT. I AM NARRATING MY STORY ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE THE CROSSROADS OF A SIMILAR SITUATION, HOLDING BACK FOR THE ONE FINE DAY, THAT WILL BEVER COME.

                ONCE YOU COME TO TERMS WITH YOURSELF, YOU WILL ATTRACT THE JOB/WORK YOU LOVE ( UNIVERSAL FORCES WILL WORK AT GETTING THE RIGHT PEOPLE AND SITUATIONS TO YOU - YOU JUST HAVE TO KEEP AN OPEN MIND AND HEAR YOUR OWN INNER VOICE) ONCE YOU SEIZE THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITY, THINGS WILL FALL IN PLACE. YOU WILL DO WHAT YOU LVOE AND LOVED WHAT YOU DO - AND THE WORK YOU DO WILL BECOME LIKE MUSIC IN YOUR LIFE. MONEY WILL BE A MERE BY-PRODUCT.

HARD WORK NEVER GIVE YOU MONEY

                                                   DONT BE SERIOUSLY





                  IT TOOK ME MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS TO UNDERSTAND THAT WORK COULD ALSO BE ENJOYED. TO BE FAIR, I SECRETLY ENJOYED IT BUT WAS CONSTANTLY REMINDING MYSELF THAT IT WAS WORK AND THAT I SHOULD NOT ENJOY IT. I HAVE TO DO IT "SERIOUSLY" BECAUSE I HAVE TO EARN. WHAT A STUPID THOUGHT! IF YOU, LIKEME, TAKE WORK VERY SERIOUSLY BECAUSE YOU THINK IT HAS TO BE TREATED SO, WELCOME ABOARD!

                   I THINK THIS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH ONE'S BACKGROUND, UPBRINGING, AND FINANCIAL SITUATION. WITH DUE RESPECT TO MY PAST, THE ONLY AIM OF MY LIFE WHEN I WAS SIXTEEN WAS TO SOMEHOW STUDY HARD, GET THE REQUIRED MARKS IN TENTH AND TWELTH GRADES, OBTAIN ADMISSION INTO AN ENGINEERING COLLEGE, START EARNING SOONER THAN LATER, AND SUPPORT MY FAMILY! WHEN I SEE PHOTOS OF MY YOUTH, THESE FEELINGS ARE REFLECTED ON MY FACE. I FEEL THIS PRESSURE EVEN NOW!

                 I DID NOT HAVE THE CONCEPT OF ENJOYING LIFE, SMELLING THE ROSE ON THE WAY, OR TAKING A REFRESHING BREAK- I WAS  CAUGHT UP IN A RACE LIKE HOW IT WAS SHOWN IN THE HINDI MOVIE 3 IDIOTS-JUST RUNNING AROUND WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT I WAS DOING. SOMEHOW, I GOT DONE WITH ENGINEERING AND THEN, I WAS IN HURRY TO GET A JOB MORE THAN MY RESULTS.

                  I GOT A JOB, THEN, I WANTED TO SWITCH OVER TO A BIGGER ORGANISATION FOR BETTER PAY, POSITION, AND RESPECT.

               YES, WE ALL NEED MONEY, AND WE DO NEED TO WORK HARD FOR IT. HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE CAN'T ENJOY OUR WORK OR THAT WE HAVE TO BECOME TOO SERIOUS ABOUT IT. TO START WITH, 





                       LET US LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING SUGGESTIONS:


             ❤ FREE YOURSELF OF WORRIES  ABOUT THE FUTURE - YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER IT ANYWAY.

             ❤ STOP PLEASING EVERYBODY AROUND YOU.

             ❤ LEARN TO SAY "NO" WHEN NECCESSARY.

             ❤ ALIGN YOUR HEART AND MIND.

             ❤ REDUCE EXTERNAL COATING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

             ❤ BECOME NON-JUDEMENTAL OF OTHERS.

             ❤ STOP BEING HARD ON YOURSELF.

             ❤ DON'T WORK FOR MONEY.

                   THESE ARE ALL NEGATIVE THOUGHTS NOBODY LIKES TO DWELL ON, RIGHT? WE KNOW THAT THE VERY THOUGHT ITSELF GIVES US JITTERS, AND IT IS CERTAINLY NOT A GOOD IDEA TO THINK ABOUT THEM IN MORE DETAIL. HOLD YOUR BREATH - IAM GOING TO ASK YOU TO DO EXACTLY THAT.

                  IF ANY OF YOU HAVE PRACTICED VIPASSANA MEDITATION, YOU MIGHT ALREADY KNOW THIS - OUR BODY EXPERIENCE SEVERAL SENSATIONS THAT KEEP REOCCURRING AND VANISHING ON THEIR OWN, AND THIS IS A CONTINIOUS PROCESS.              WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS (THE MOST ADVANCED SPECIES GOD HAS CREATED) WE HAVE THE POWER TO THINK, ANALYSE, ASSESS, AND LEARN FROM OUR OWN AND OTHERS' MISTAKES. THERE ARE DEFINITELY MANY TEMPTING PREPARATIONS THAT WE MIGHT WANT TO EAT, WHICH IS OKAY, JUST ENSURE SOME DISCIPLINE, AND HAE IT IN A CONTROLLED MANNER.

            SEVERAL LEARNED SCHOLARS/SPIRITUAL LEADERS ACROSS THE GLOBE HAVE STUDIED THE EVOLUTION OF HUMAN BEINGS IN THE UNIVERSE AND HAVE PROVIDED ADEQUATE PROOF SUPPORTING THIS IDEA. ONCE YOU ACCEPT THIS, YOU WILL START TREATING EVERY INDIVIDUAL AS YOUR SIBLING - THERE WILL BE LOVE, RESPECT, UNDERSTANDING, AND CONSIDERATION, AND YOU WILL DEVELOP FRIENDSHIPS ALL OVER THE PLACE.

NO, MEDITATION JUST MEANS THAT YOU SHOULD PUT YOURSELF IN A SILENT ZONE, MINIMISE THE HUNDREDS OF THOUGHTS RUNNING THROUGH YOUR MIND REGARDING YOUR DAILY ROUTINE, TASKS ON HAND, WORRIES, ETC., AND JUST BE.

                BE YOURSELF AS IF NOTHING ELSE EXISTS IN THE WORLD, YOU CARRY NO RESPONSIBILITIES, AND THERE IS NOBODY TO TELL YOU ANYTHING, IF YOU FEEL EVEN THIRTY SECONDS OF "NOTHINGNESS" YOU ARE IMPROVING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH.                DON'T TAKE THIS LITERALLY AND BEGIN INDULGING IN ALL KINDS OF EXPENSIVE AND ADDICTIVE ACTIVITIES. WHAT I MEAN BY "PAMPER" HERE IS LOOSEN YOURSELF UP A BIT EVERY NOW AND THEN, PLAY A LITTLE MORE, WATCH MOTIVATIONAL MOVIES, EXPLORE NEW PLACES, GIVE YOURSELF A GOOD MASSAGE, AND BASICALLY DO THINGS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL LIGHTER.

             DON'T TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY.
