ONE SHOULD NEVER STOP PRACTICE, ONE SHOULD NOT LOSE HEART. ONE SHOULD KEEP MOVING FUTHER WITHOUT GETTING DISTRACTED BECAUSE OF THE OBSTACLES. ONE SHOULD NOT BE DICOURAGED BY THE THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD TAKE LONG TIME. IT IS A LONG JOURNEY WHICH CAN NOT BE COMPLETED OVERNIGHT.

MINDS WANTS VARIETY.  SOON IT GETS BORED WITH THE ROUTINE OT MEDITATION ONE SHOULD CREATE VARIETY BY CHANTING MANTRA LOUDLY OR WHISPERING. ONE SHOULD LISTEN TO RECORDED MANTRA. ONE CAN DANCE ON THAT MANTRA. ONE CAN PAINT THAT MANTRA, ONE CAN CREATE LORD'S IMAGE BY WRITING THAT MANTRA ALL OVER. ONE CAN CHANGE THE SCHEDULE OF MEDITATION BUT MEDITATION SHOULD NEVER BE COMPLETELY STOPPED.  SPIRITUAL PRACTICE SHOULD NEVER BE GIVEN UP WHATEVER SITUATION MAY ARISE IN ONE'S LIFE. IN THE BEGINNING ONE IS FULL OF ENTHUSIASM AND HOPES TO GET RESULTS IN VERY SHORT TIME. ONE NOT ACHIEVING THOSE RESULTS, GENERALLY ONE GIVES UP PRACTICE. ONE SHOULD MEDITATE WITHOUT ANY EXPECTATIONS . PROGRESS HAPPENS BUT SLOWLY. SWAMI VISHNUDEVANANDA SAID, YOU HAVE TO PRACTISE, PRACTISE, PRACTISE, UNTIL THE MIND BECOMES MANTRA AND MANTRA BECOMES THE MIND. CESSATION OF PRACTICE IS A GRAVE MISTAKE, SADHANA, SPIRITUAL PRACTICE SHOULD NEVER BE GIVEN UP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES'.



                                 HEALTHY FOOD IN MEDITATION







                        THE BODY SHOULD BE KEPT HEALTHY AND STRONG IT IS A VEHICLE FOR GOD REALISATION. AS THE SHARP TOOL GIVEN GOOD RESULTS IN LESS TIME SIMILARLY HEALTHY BODY HELPS IN ACHIEVING GOAL SOONER. REGULAR EXERCISES, PRANAYAMAS, GOOD DIET AND MODERATE SLEEP HELP IN MAINTAINING THE BODY IN GOOD SHAPE. GOOD HEALTH HELPS IN KEEPING THE MIND IN CHEERFUL STATE.


                    ROAMING UNIVERSAL STUDIOS IN ORLANDO CITY, VIEWING EXCITING THINGS AND EXPERIENCING THRILLING ADVENTURES IN THEME PARKS, NOT ONLY MADE MR. "F" TIRED BUT HUNGRY ALSO. THERE WERE OF EATING PLACES THOUGH VEGETARIAN FOOD WAS AVAILABLE ONLY AT A FEW COUNTERS. H SEARCHED ONE, ORDERED PIZZA, CHILLED CAKE AND SWEET CHOCO COOKIE.


                   AS SOON AS HE ATE THE FIRST MORSEL OF PIZZA, HE REALISED WHY IN AMERICA MOST OF THE PEOPLE ARE NON-VEGETARIAN. IT WAS STICKY, DIFFICULT TO CHEW AND WHAT TO SAY OF TASTE. IT WAS EVEN WORSE THAN THE HOSTEL RATIS IN INDIA. HE WAS NOT SURE WHETHER HE COULD FIND SOMETHING VEGGIE BETTER THAN THIS, SO CONTINUED EATING TILL IT WAS FINISHED.






                     THAT'S A TOTALLY  DIFFERENT STORY THAT PIZZA REMAINED IN HIS STOMACH FOR TWO DAYS CAUSING HIM ALL THAT BLAH BLAH. HE FELT WEAK AND COULDN'T CONCENTRATE HIS MIND WHILE MEDITATING BECAUSE OF GASTRIC PROBLEM AND HEAVINESS IN STOMACH.


                     IMPROPER DIET IS AN OBSTACLES IN MEDITATION. IT CAUSES MANY HEALTH PROBLEMS LIKE STOMACH ACHE, POOR DISGESTION AND SLEEP DISORDER. FOOD SHOULD BE LIGHT, NUTRITIVE AND EASILY DIGESTIBLE.

WHEN IT LOOKED UP, IT SAW ANOTHER BIRD ON TOP BRANCH OF THE TREES. THE BIRD SITTING ON LOWER BRANCH RESTLESSLY PECKED FRUITS, SOMETIMES SWEET AND SOMETIMES BITTER AND THEN JUMPED A BRANCH UP. IT LOOKED UP AND SAW ANOTHER BIRD WAS SITTING ON THE HIGHEST BRANCH. IT AGAIN ATE SOME SWEET AND BITTER FRUITS AND HOPPED UP ONE BRANCH. IT KEPT MOVING TILL IT REACHED A BRANCH LOWER TO THE HIGHEST BRANCH. WHEN IT LOOKED UP THERE WAS STILL THAT ANOTHER BIRD ON THE ABOVE BRANCH. AS SOON AS IT REACHED THE TOP BRANCH IT FOUND THERE WAS NO BIRD EXCEPT ITSELF.



                       IN THIS STORY THE BIRD SITTING ON LOWER BRANCH IS JEEVATMAN (HUMAN BEING) AND THE BIRD SITTING ON HIGHEST BRANCH IS THE PARMATMAN (GOD) AND THE SWEET AND SOUR FRUITS ARE THE BIRH AND DEATH CYCLES.

COSY QUILT AND WELL FURNISHED ROOM WITH ALL LUXURIES. SLEEP COMES NATURALLY. ONE FALLS INTO IT. SIMILARLY MEDITATION COMES BY ITSELF. IT REQUIRES REGULARITY AND PATIENCES. THE NEWCOMERS SHOULD FOLLOW CERTAIN POINTS IN SELECTION OF PLACE.  TIME AND POSTURE FOR GOOD RESULTS. MENTAL ATTITUDE, FOOD HABITS AND ENVIRONMENT COUNT IN THE BEGINNING.

             PLACE - FOR PRACTISING MEDITATION, BEGINNERS SHOULD SELECT THE ROOM IN THE NORTH EAST OR NORTH- EAST CORNER OF THE HOUSE OF BUILDING. ONE SHOULD AVOID DOING MEDITATION IN THE ROOMS SITUATED IN SOUTH. WEST OR SOUTH-WEST CORNER OF THE HOUSE OR BUILDING WHILE MEDITATING ONE SHOULD FACE TOWARDS NORTH. THIS IS THE BEST DIRECTION FOR DOING MEDITATION. ONE CAN ALSO FACE EAST BUT SHOULD NOT FACE SOUTH WHILE MEDITATING.

"S" LAUGHED A LITTLE AND SAID, YOU CAN DO MEDITATION UNDER WATER BUT THAT REQUIRES A LOT OF PRACTICE AND CONTROL OVER BREATH. IN BHAGAVATA PURANA, IT IS MENTIONED THAT SAUBHARI MUNI MEDITATED UNDER WATER IN YAMUNA RIVER FOR SOME TIME AND ATTAINED MANY MYSTIC POWERS".

THE DUSK AND DAWN ARE EXCELLENT TIMES. ONE CAN DO MEDITATION AT ANY TIME WHICH IS CONVENIENT AND CAN PRACTISE IT REGULARLY AT THE SAME TIME.



                      ONE WILL PUNCTUAL FOR THE THINGS ONE WANTS TO DO. ONE WILL ALWAYS FIND TIME FOR THE THINGS ONE WISHES TO DO. ONE HAS TO BRING MEDITATION IN THEIR TOP PRIORITY OF THEIR LIST OF CHORES. FOR THAT ONE HAS TO JUST CHANGE ONE'S OUTLOOK.

                       THE SPINE, NECK AND HEAD SHOULD BE A ALIGNED STRAIGHT IN  A LINE WHILE MEDITATING. SUKHASANA, PADMASANA, VRIKSHASANA, SHIRASHASANA ARE GOOD OPTIONS.TRY TO RELAX MUSCLES OF YOUR BODY. ONE SHOULD EXHALE OUT TWO OR THREE BREATHS THINKING, " I AM THROWING OUT ALL THE THOUGHTS RELATED TO THE WORLD AND I AM THROWING OUT ALL THE NEGATIVITY INSIDE ME. NOW I WILL THINK ONLY ABOUT GOD AND WHATEVER THOUGHT COMES TO MY MIND WILL BE OF GOD".


                       FOCUS ON HIGHER GOALS INSTEAD OF FOOD, FABRIC AND FURNITURE, FOCUS AND FURNITURE. FOCUS MIND ON GOD THAN ANYTHING ELSE.


                     WHILE MEDITATING ONE CAN FOCUS ON VARIOUS CENTRES WITHIN BODY. THERE ARE SEVEN CHAKRAS IN THE BODY ON WHICH ONE CAN CONCENTRATE. MOST OF THE SPIRITUAL ASPIRANTS CONCENTRATE ON SIXTH CHAKRA - THE SPACE BETWEEN EYEBROWS. THE OBJECT OF FOCUS IS VISUALIZED IN THE SPACE BETWEEN THE EYEBROWS. SOME ASPIRANTS FOCUS ON FOURTH CHAKRA - THE SPACE IN THE CENTRAL CHANNEL IN THE SPINE BETWEEN THE LUNGS AT HEART.

                   👀 1. CONCENTRATION ON BREATHING - CONCENTRATE MIND ON BREATHING INHALE SLOWLY AND DEEPLY AND EXHALE UNHURRIEDLY. FEEL THE COOL AIR INHALING AND HOT AIR WHILE EXHALING. SLOWER THE BREATH, MORE STABLE IS MIND. CONCENTRATE ON BREATHING AND FEEL RELAXED AS WELL AS CALM.


                  👀 2 .  CONCENTRATION ON SENSATIONS - CONCENTRATE MIND ON THE SENSATIONS FELT BY THE NOSTRIL DURING INHALING AND EXHALING. OR MIND CAN BE CONCENTRATED ON THE RISE AND FALL OF ABDOMEN WHILE BREATHING.

                  👀 5. HATHA YOGA AND PRANAYAMA - DIFFICULT YOGIC POSTURES ALONG WITH PRANAYAMA AND MUDRAS (HAND POSTURES) ARE PRACTICED TO CONCENTRATE MIND AND TO AWAKEN KUNDALINI. THE ENERGY IS THEN CONTROLLED AND PUSHED TO HEAD FOR SELF REALISATION. WHATEVER ONE MAY CHOOSE THE WAY TO CONTROL MIND ONE CAN PRACTICE PRANAYAMA, YOGA POSTURES AND MUDRAS LIKE JNANA MUDRA (TOUCH THE TIPS OF THUMB WITH THE INDEX FINGERS OF THE RESPECTIVE HANDS) WHICH WILL HELP ONE TO DEVELOP CONCENTRATION IN INITIAL STAGES.

YOUR BODY IS PUL ON THE BIER AND YOUR FUNERAL POSSESSION BEGINS. YOU LEAVE BEHIND THE STREET IN WHICH YOU HAVE PLAYED GAMES, YOU LEAVE BEHIND THE SHOPS FROM WHICH YOU HAVE BOUGHT TOFFEES AND TOYS IN YOUR CHILDHOOD, YOU LEAVE BEHIND THE TOWN IN WHICH YOU HAVE SPENT WONDERFUL YEARS OF YOUR LIFE. YOUR BODY REACH BURIAL GROUND AND YOUR BODY IS PLACED UPON PYRE. YOUR SON LIT THE FIRE TO THE PYRE. YOUR BODY TURNS INTO ASHES.
