IN MEDITATION, EXPECTING NOTHING IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS.

IRREGULARITY IN MEDITATION DOESN'T GIVE GOOD RESULTS SO NOT A SINGLE DAY SHOULD BE SKIPPED. DOING MEDITATION FOR 2-3 DAYS AND MISSING IT FOR NEXT TWO DAYS WILL NOT GIVE PROGRESS IN MEDITATION. EVERY DAY ONE SHOULD MEDITATE WITH OR WITHOUT SUCCESS. PRACTICE SHOULD BE DONE REGULARLY ONLY THEN ONE WILL BE ABLE TO PROCEED FURTHER ON MEDITATION PATH.

BUT IT CAN BE CONTROLLED BY PRACTICE AND NON-ATTACHMENT FROM SENSUOUS OBJECTS". CONCENTRATE THE MIND ON A GOAL. IF MIND IS DIVERTED FROM THE GOAL THEN IGNORE ALL OTHER POINTS OF DISTRACTION BY CONSIDERNG THEM BASELESS AND POINTLESS. THIS WILL BRING THE MIND BACK ON THE DESIRED GOAL.
WE ARE LIVING IN THE CITIES WHERE THOUSANDS OF SENSUOUS OBJECTS POP UP EVERY DAY TO STIMULATE OUR SENSES. MIND IS DISTRACTED WITH THESE EXTERNAL STIMULI. CHANGES SHOULD BE MADE IN HABITS AND ATTITUDE SUCH THAT MIND DOESN'T FIGHT BACK. SLOW AND GRADUAL TRANSFORMATIONS SHOULD BE MADE SO THAT THEY DON'T GIVE A CHANCE TO THE MIND TO APPLY REVERSE GEAR.
